Walk into the head office on Plot 1/3 Bank Lane in Gulu with a copy of your national ID, two passport photos and your phone. Pay the UGX 20,000 entry fee and your first UGX 20,000 monthly savings, and your application goes to the Vetting Committee. Most applications are confirmed within five working days.
-
A one-off UGX 20,000 entry fee, plus UGX 20,000 in compulsory monthly savings (these stay yours and count toward your loan ceiling), plus an annual subscription that varies by category, from UGX 10,000 for smallholder farmers to UGX 50,000 for tractor owners.

Yes. The Corporate Member category is designed for farmer groups, cooperatives, NGOs and institutions. One member representative votes at the AGM on the group's behalf.
Member roles

Coordinated bookings through the SACCO dispatch roster, brokerage commission on every coordinated booking of your machine, member-rate access to genuine spares, and SACCO co-signature on dealer-financed implement purchases.

Yes. The Tractor Operator category is for certified drivers who don't own machines. You get a slot on the dispatch roster, refresher training, and per-acre payment for jobs dispatched to you.
-
A Hiring Agent buys a tractor day-block (8 am to 5 pm) from an owner and resells the hours to farmers, net of fuel, operator and SACCO fees. A Booking Agent aggregates demand from multiple farmer groups and plans deployment, paid a 10% commission on aggregated jobs.
Savings and credit
-
Up to three times your savings balance, guaranteed by two member guarantors in good standing. So if you have UGX 500,000 in savings, your loan ceiling is UGX 1,500,000.
-
For amounts under UGX 1.5M, the Loan Committee approves within five working days. Larger amounts go to a full committee sitting at the next scheduled meeting.
-
A late charge applies and the Loan Committee contacts you and your guarantors. Repeat default may move recovery to the cooperative's recovery process, but most issues resolve through a re-scheduled repayment plan.
-
No. The dividend is declared at the AGM based on the year's audited surplus. It is a real dividend, not interest, voted by the membership.
