Who we are
NUTOFA SACCO LTD (C/S No. 12109/RCS, TIN 1056298042) is a member-based savings and credit cooperative society registered in Uganda under the Co-operative Societies Statute. The cooperative holds Tier 4 SACCO Licence No. 0435/SC for 2026, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development under the Tier 4 Microfinance Institutions and Money Lenders (Amendment) Act, CAP (61). What data we collect
For members and applicants, we collect: full name, date of birth, national ID number, sub-region and district, phone, email (optional), photograph, two referee details, savings balance, loan activity, and committee role where applicable.
For partners and investors, we collect: organisation name, point-of-contact name and role, business email, phone, and the substance of your enquiry.
For visitors to this site, we collect basic anonymised analytics (pages viewed, country) via Cloudflare Pages. No personal advertising trackers.
Why we collect it
To run the cooperative, admit members, hold savings, issue loans, dispatch services, audit accounts, and report to the Department of Co-operatives at the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Co-operatives.
How we use it
Member data is used exclusively for cooperative operations and statutory reporting. Loan applications are reviewed by the elected Loan Committee. Savings ledgers are audited annually by an external auditor.
Sharing and disclosure
We share data with: (a) the external auditor under engagement; (b) regulatory bodies as required by law; (c) named co-operating partners on specific programmes, with member consent. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Member records are retained for the duration of membership plus seven years (regulatory archive period). Visitor analytics are retained for 90 days.
Your rights
Members and applicants have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held by the cooperative (subject to regulatory archive obligations). To exercise these rights, contact the secretariat in writing.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set personal advertising cookies. We use minimal first-party functional cookies for site navigation. Hosting analytics through Cloudflare Pages collect anonymised aggregate data only.
Updates to this notice
This notice is reviewed annually by the secretariat and updated as needed. Material changes are announced at the next AGM.
